Rishi Khosla,

Director

Rishi Khosla is CEO and co-founder of Copal Partners. His primary responsibilities include overseeing the company's global business development activities.

Rishi also advises Lakshmi N. Mittal on his private equity and venture investments. His 1999 tech vintage venture portfolio has already produced two billion dollar companies: PayPal and IndiaBulls. Investments have also included the most successful Indian venture investment in the country’s history, generating a 150x capital return to date.

Previously, Rishi was a member of the GE Capital business development team, reporting to the President of GE Capital Europe. During this time he established and co-managed an early stage venture fund for GE Capital.

Rishi began his career in banking where he wrote one of the first equity research notes to be published on third generation mobile telephony, and participated in several advisory transactions, including an asset swap between GRE and ING and a divestment program on behalf of the Polish government.

Rishi is a director of TiE UK, a charity promoting entrepreneurial skills. He is also a Trustee of New Philanthropy Capital, an organization providing independent research and tailored advice on the most effective ways to support charities. In addition, he is Chairman of Dev Property Development, a London-listed real estate development company.

He holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from University College London, and a Master’s degree in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics where he was awarded a scholarship by the Economic and Social Research Council.

Joel Perlman,

Director

Joel Perlman is President and co-founder of Copal Partners. He established the company’s Indian research centers and manages the global service delivery activities of the firm.

Previously, he founded and managed Latin Venture, a marketing firm with operations in the US and major Latin American markets.

Earlier, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he participated in several transactions involving Fortune 100 companies, particularly including business strategy, growth and process reengineering within the banking industry.

Joel is an advisor to CarullaVivero, the largest food retailer in Colombia with over USD 1 billion in sales, and Zumba, the biggest branded fitness program in the US.

He holds an undergraduate degree with honors in Finance and Philosophy from Georgetown University and a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics.

Alok Tayal,

Chief Executive Officer

Alok has approximately 20 years of experience in market research, customer relationship management, sales, technology and process consulting. As CEO, he is responsible for overall management of exëvo. Alok plays an integral part in defining the company's target markets and in global delivery of products and services.

During his ten years with exëvo Alok has worked closely with various global market research firms including Synovate, Data Monitor, Forrester, IDC and AMI-Partners to identify their requirements and implement innovative solutions. He has a deep understanding of Business Research, Market Intelligence, Analytics, and Primary Research processes.

Alok played a vital role in securing ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 27001:2005 certification, making exëvo one of the first research outsourcing organizations to implement best of breed processes.

Previously, he worked with NetAcross, a global technology services firm, as General Manager North America where he was responsible for global accounts including P&G, Coke, Sun Microsystems, Amada Engineering and Mitsubishi. Before being appointed General Manager, Alok was Chief Knowledge Officer at NetAcross with responsibility for developing and implementing knowledge retention, knowledge management and knowledge sharing solutions.

Alok holds a Master's engineering degree in Computer Science, from BITS Pilani, India.

Varun Tuli,

Chief Financial Officer

Varun has approximately 12 years of experience in managing Finance and Accounting functions, Treasury, Insurance Underwriting and Credit analysis. As Chief Financial Officer of exëvo, Varun is responsible for worldwide financial reporting, managing facilities and IT infrastructure.

Previously, he was employed by GE Capital in Treasury and Insurance Underwriting. During his six years with the company, he played a pivotal role in establishing the GE Treasury office in Ireland and transferring an underwriting process from the US to India. At the same time, he worked on various green belt projects, producing substantial cost savings. Before joining GE he was employed by Lloyds Finance where he was responsible for Marketing & Credit.

Varun holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Delhi University and a Master’s degree in Finance from JIMS, Delhi.

Ruma Chakravarty,

Vice President – Survey Programming & Data Analytics

Ruma has over 14 years of experience in Market Research, Operations Management, Quality and Process optimization, Customer Engagement, Building Strategic Partnership and Training.

Before joining exëvo she was COO at CoreMind Techno Services. During her five years with the company, Ruma established Market Research Services, growing revenues by around 175% over three years. In addition to her operational responsibilities, she focused mainly on business growth and key account management.

Ruma began her Market Research career with Annik Technology Services where she was responsible for delivery of Online and Custom Survey Programming and Software Development services for six years, and for developing best practices and customer oriented guidelines to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

At exëvo, Ruma also seeks to build deeper relationship with customers in several countries. She is responsible for building successful delivery methods, customer engagement and customer index enhancement. She is a Lean Six Sigma certified professional and involved in various quality and process optimization activities across different functions of exëvo.

Ruma holds a Master's degree in Bio-Physics and is a certified Confirmit trainer.

Hal Kuraishe,

Director of Business Development

Hal has over 16 years of experience in the Market Research industry. He is based in exëvo’s London office and is responsible for new and on-going client relationships in the European market.

Previously, he was a senior member of the business development team at Harris Interactive (Europe) for over six years, and before that a member of the business development team at Mintel International for five years. He has extensive knowledge and expertise in providing various research solutions including customer satisfaction, segmentation and conjoint studies to companies such as HP, AOL, Gartner, Procter & Gamble and Unilever.

Hal has extensive experience of a wide range of data collection methods including quantitative and qualitative solutions across B2B and consumer markets. While at Harris Interactive, he was responsible for execution of traditional methods of data collection including telephone and focus groups. He was also involved in the introduction of online research as a data collection method to the UK & European operations of Harris Interactive.

Hal holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Westminster (London).

Vivek Agarwal,

Associate Director of Strategic Relationships

Vivek has more than nine years of experience in Market Research, Client Servicing & Project Management. He joined exëvo when the New Delhi delivery center was launched in 2002. As an Associate Director – Strategic Relationships, he is responsible for business development and growing existing client relationships worldwide. Vivek has managed large client relationships across various sectors including Technology, Healthcare, and Finance.

He also possesses extensive project management experience in various methods of data collection including quantitative and qualitative solutions such as opinion leaders’ interviews, B2B and consumer primary research. Before joining exëvo, he was employed by HCL Technologies BPO services.

Vivek holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Agra University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Lucknow University, India.

Jasmeet Singh Nayyar

Director-Data Analytics & ConfirmIT

Jasmeet has over 13 years of experience in Market Research, Client Management, Quality, Training and Team Development.

Before joining exëvo, he worked as VP – Operations at ZeeProbe for over four years, where he established the company’s Delhi and Trivandrum (Kerala) Market Research operations. He was responsible for Recruitment, Training, Maintaining Project Quality, Client servicing and Team Development.

Jasmeet began his market research career with Indian Market Research Bureau (Hindustan Thompson Group) as Quantum Professional before joining Annik Technology Services where he served as Head of Service Delivery for the company’s Data Processing and Charting functions for over five years. As an acknowledged expert in data analysis (using packages such as Quantum, SPSS, Quanvert and MR Dimensions) he helped Annik to develop one of the largest data processing teams in Delhi. In particular, his focus on Project Quality, Client Management and Team Development won considerable respect and recognition from management and clients alike. Jasmeet is also responsible for building closer relationships with clients worldwide, and for Data Processing and ConfirmIT functions. He will soon also become responsible for Client Servicing, Project Quality and Team building. His vast experience and expertise are expected to help develop best practices and customer oriented guidelines to accomplish quality on-time delivery.

Jasmeet holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Delhi University and a three year Information Technology Diploma from National Institute of Information Technology.

Akshay Awasthy

Manager-Sales

Akshay has around 10 years of experience in Consulting, Market Research and Outsourcing for clients in the US, Europe and Asia. Based in India, his diverse experience and global business network are invaluable in helping clients identify business opportunities in markets worldwide, and analyze their current business processes to determine strategies to improve efficiency and optimization.

Before joining exëvo, Akshay was employed by Tecnova, a strategy consultancy firm where he was responsible for Business Development (throughout Asia-Pacific and Europe) and Client Servicing for clients based in Europe, the US and Japan. Previously, he worked for management consultancy firm Ernst & Young (E&Y) as a Senior Analyst at its Center for Business Knowledge where he analyzed E&Y’s business relationships in North America.

Akshay holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Delhi University and is a keen golfer.
