The Objective

We were retained to conduct phone-based surveys of youths in the US to determine opinion and interest in joining the armed forces. The study required 2500 completed surveys of youths between 16 to 24 years of age, and aimed to capture a pre-defined mix of, gender, race and geographical location.

The Challenges

  • The agents would need parental consent to interview some of our target respondents. This would necessitate pre-screening, response recording as well as possible multiple contacts
  • Three-dimensional quota requirements would require careful upfront planning and effective sample management
  • The study was designed to overlap with specific events, requiring to be completed within 5 weeks
  • The majority of our target respondents would not be available during regular business hours requiring multiple teams working in split timings
The Solution

Planning

  • Helping client finalize the Screener and Survey Questionnaires
  • CATI programming
  • Agent training on parental consent issues
  • Daily project and quota plan

Administration

  • Procuring sample database from accredited agencies as per the requirements of the survey
  • Dividing agents into three groups according respondent time zones

Presentation

  • Coding of data reporting files in SPSS/Excel
  • Creation of banner tables using WinCross
  • Web based reporting and quota analysis

Quality Assurance

  • Verifying and archiving audio files of each parental consent

The Benefits Achieved
