The Objective
 

One of the largest market research companies in the world was initiating a customer satisfaction survey in order to better understand business processing outsourcing.

This project requires to key enter over one million questionnaires a year with 99% verification. The survey's open-ended responses required considerable coding applications and transcription work.

The project was assigned to exëvo to be executed at our data processing facility in India.

   
The Challenges
 
  • Verification of 100% of the Key Entries
  • Over 50% of the questions was open ended in nature
  • Five percent of the returns had a need for name and address update and verification
  • The project also included significant amount of audio tapes to be studied and transcript for Qualitative study and delivered in excel sheets
The Solution
 
  • About 70 data processing executives and 2 Data Processing Managers and 1 Programmer worked round the clock on the Quantitative Questionnaire in Creating the data entry program, coding open ended responses, double data entry, validation of the data files, both during the Pilot and during the year long production phase with clock work precision
  • Applying checks on the data entered was done through three different applications to meet the stringent quality norms
  • The qualitative transcription work required almost 118 hours of transcription every month and about 28 hours of keying in of the data in the specified excel delivery format for about a year, after transcriptions were completed they were checked against the wave files for errors and the minor concern areas were resolved before handing over the transcripts and wave files to the client
The Benefits Achieved
 

The exercise was completed meeting all SLA parameters and with 99.9% accuracy. The client was extremely satisfied not only with the cost benefit of the project but also quality and scalability of the operations.
