The certification, which is accomplished through a third-party audit, is designed to ensure that appropriate security controls that safeguard information assets and provide confidence to concerned parties including the organisation’s customers, are in place using a continual improvement approach. Through this certification, exëvo will ensure the selection of adequate and proportionate security controls, which will secure information assets and significantly increase the measure of confidence to its clients.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Manish Modi, President and CEO of exëvo, said, “In today’s business environment, with increasing concerns over information security, the significance of this achievement cannot be but emphasized. Clients, rightly so, are increasingly demanding compliance against best practice security standards, and ultimately certification from their suppliers and business partners. It is hugely rewarding to be amongst a handful of firms in the world and indeed the first in the specialized field of MRO, to continually gain credit for our quality and information security management, from a recognized body. This latest accreditation is a unique market differentiator that is unmatched in India and around the world and is a clear reflection of our commitment to customer satisfaction.”
On the occasion of the ISO 27001:2005 certification ceremony, Mr. Neeraj Gupta, Vice President BSI-Global said “It is heartening to see a committed management driving this critical process in a
top to bottom manner. I've been involved in the validation of exëvo's standards and am highly impressed to see enhanced level of processes for all aspects of ISMS. By being one of the first MRO
to successfully achieve this certification, exëvo has made a strong statement of its capabilities & potential. A glimpse of its work culture & employee motivation testifies the same”.
The standard was published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) on 15 October 2005 as the standard that sets out the requirements for an information security management system (ISMS). Most importantly, it sets out a framework for implementation and management of appropriate controls to ensure that the specific security objectives of an organisation are met. |
